excellent for melting fine gold as well, even for a large refiner. In todays refining environment in the US, chemical stone removal lots have gotten quite small, often under a kilo to start with. Try bringing a 10 or 15 ounce melt to the melt shop where they have large furnaces to have it melted. You do get some strange looks!
