That looks cool Kevo. I will try that out. I tend to loose string dampers frequently due to the way I hit with pace and topspin. String dampers will always pop right out and end up loosing them. The rubberband dampers stay on more securely. I'll give your method a try to see if it will pop out compared to the traditional rubberband damper method.

dampener does nothing but affect the sound on the racquet. if you're having problems with the damp flying out, go with the rubberband, its tied in. if you're not having problems with the damp flying out, still use the rubberband as its way cheaper and feels better than most damps out there. I've NEVER shyed away since. And I'm constantly promoting it that it works just as well as any other vibration dampener. I love it! And I always put in a new one with a fresh string job. I found the best thick rubberband at Staples one day. They come in a pack for like .99 cents. And it's a rather large package of rubberbands.

I think either rubber bands or vibration dampeners do the job. But my biggest problem with the vibration dampeners is that they keep falling off the rackets. Even the factory supplied kind that comes with the racket. Then you waste time looking for them, if you can find them. I can have those things popping out of my racket several times a session.

Well the rain finally let up here in Ohio. Went out and bought a bag of #64 rubberbands. They are narrower than the OTZ vibration dampeners. I spent less than $2 on the rubber bands and got enough of them to last me and everyone in my family for a lifetime. Comparing the OTZ and the #64 rubberband - no difference.

Forgot to mention that this will feel very dampened depending on the rubber-band you use as well.If it's small, chances are it will be on pretty tight and offer a very dampened feel.
